CHILDREN'S HOUR featured a fun storytelling hour & arts/crafts by the Brooklyn Public Library.  (www.brooklynpubliclibrary.org

LIVE PERFORMANCE by Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory of Music singers.  The Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory of Music is one of the oldest community music schools in the country, with two locations in Park Slope and Flushing.  Talented singers regaled us with arias from Italian operas and folk songs. SUNSET MOVIE showed Rocky (USA, 1976, 120 min. PG). Oscar winning tale about a small time boxer gets a once in a lifetime chance to fight the heavyweight champ in a bout in which he strives to go the distance for his self-respect.

  •                  AUGUST 13 - GIRLZ NIGHT

CHILDREN'S HOUR featured a hip hop session with the Hamilton Dance Studio (718.349.1716, www.hamiltondance.com)
 

LIVE PERFORMANCE by Miss Angelina, a rapper/singer/writer/producer who brings a fresh flava to Hip Hop music. She's New York City's winner of "The Battle of the Female Rappers."  You may have already seen her perform on "The WB 11 Morning Show" or the Spanish television program "La Loca."   As an aspiring fashionista, Miss A has her own clothing line, "who? jersey.", that reps her home, New Jersey, to the fullest. SUNSET MOVIE played Lara Croft: The Cradle of Life (USA, 2003, 118 min. PG-13). The inimitable Lara Croft saves the world again.

CHILDREN'S HOUR featured an arts/session by the Brooklyn Children’s Museum (718.735.4400, www.brooklynkids.org

LIVE PERFORMANCE by Roger Kuhn & Starlight Tyler.  An exciting evening with two remarkable Native-American singers:  Mr. Kuhn is a little bit Johnny, a little bit Roy, and a whole lot of the King while Ms. Tyler delivers jazz with the earthiness of the blues for a soul wrenching experience. 

SUNSET MOVIE played Last of the Mohicans (U.S., 1992, 112 min. R). Epic adventure and romance!  Frontiersman Hawkeye, adopted son of Mohican Chingachgook, and Cora Munro, the daughter of an English officer, fall in love in the wilderness of 18th century America.

LIVE ENTERTAINMENT by Ed Healy featuring Take 5.  Led by Ed Healey, Take 5 is a classic rock band.  Mixing sounds of pop, rock, soul, Motown, and reggae, their set list spans nearly 50 years of great music.

SUNSET MOVIE played Back to the Future (USA, 1985, 118 min. PG). With the help of a wacky scientist, a young teen travels back to 1955 in a DeLorean turned time-machine.
