  •                  SEP 03 - USA NIGHT

CHILDREN'S HOUR featured an imaginative arts/crafts session with the Greenpoint Toy Center, an awesome toy store in Greenpoint (718.383.3437, 735 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn)

LIVE PERFORMANCE by New York’s Finest Jazz Ensemble, a subset of the NYPD Band.  Founded in 2005 by Police Officer Anthony Stewart, the ensemble has gained international renown, having toured Canada, China, Japan and, of-course, throughout the U.S.  Members are all full-time NYPD officers, who get together when they are off duty to rehearse and perform at community events.

We were also treated to a special guest performance by Brian "Travolta," a local John Travolta impersonator, who got the whole crowd up and dancing to Grease Lightning and other classics from the movie, Grease.

SUNSET MOVIE played Grease (USA, 1978, 110 min. PG). A classic rock 'n' roll teenage celebration of growing up and falling in love.
